Excellent exhibition. Fascinating for adults and interactive for children (of all ages!).
I loved this museum. If u r interested in Stonehenge, Avebury and their landscape it is a must visit. It has a lot of items & displays from the various excavations. Like all museums there are things to get children interested but best of all it also has a lot of excellent info for adults & those with deeper interest - this is quite rare in current museums & very welcome! Often has exhibitions of current archaeology programmes/digs etc. The only thing that could be better is the audio-visual screens r a little old school - so what is on them can't always be heard. Best museum I've been to for a long while.

For a small museum it packs alot in. The displays provide a great account and a brilliant selection of artifacts from the prehistoric to more recent history of Wiltshire and Devizes. There are fun interactive activities for the kids too.The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Spent a fun and informative hour here and would happily do so again.
Visited today and thought the museum was excellent. Not only were the displays incredible but the activities for the kids were engaging as well as educational. To be honest, I wish more museums were like this one.
