Had the Caesar salad and the cod loin, chicken was dry but other than that okay and cod was a generous portion far too much potato and slightly over done cod with no crispy skin. Wine was lovely had a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand! Surprised by no check back on the meal to make sure everything was okay left underwhelmed by a 2 rosette restaurant.
A well run, clean and tidy coffee house /restaurant /Hotel in the centre of Devizes. The staff are efficient, polite and totally loveable. The food is lovely and delicious, though not cheap. You do get what you pay for. Once you have been here, you should never forget how much you like it. I was going to give 9/10 but changed it to 10/10. This is, and the staff are everything it should be to me, and I look forward to seeing you again, soon. Xx
We have made a tradition to visit for my daughter's birthday. This year she was delighted as ever. Thank you for helping making it special for her.
Family meal out and had the Sunday roast board with winter veg.The choice of slow roasted meats were wonderful, pork was cooked to melt in the mouth loveliness, the winter veg was done well, crispy roasted potatoes, torn Yorkshire puddings.All well cooked and good portion sizes.Staff were great, very helpful and friendly.The winter headgerow crumble for dessert was the icing on the cake great sharp fruits with a sweet crumble top. If that's not your dessert of choice the Sticky Toffee Pudding was well received too.Well worth a visit now this has re-opened for Sunday lunches.
